⚠️ Important – Design Role Only

The employer has specifically stated that this is a design-oriented engineering role — NOT an on-site or construction supervision position. Candidates with only field or site supervision experience who are not capable of civil engineering design and drawing production are not suitable for this vacancy.

📝 Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and produce civil engineering design drawings for photovoltaic power plant and substation projects — including site layout, foundation designs, drainage, access roads, and civil structures.
  • Prepare and review civil design documents and technical specifications for PV field civil works — including pile foundations, cable trenching, equipment pads, and panel mounting structure civil supports.
  • Design substation civil works — including control building structures, transformer foundations, switchyard civil layout, equipment support structures, and drainage systems.
  • Produce accurate and fully detailed civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD or equivalent design software — ensuring all drawings are complete, coordinated, and production-ready.
  • Coordinate civil design with electrical, structural, and mechanical disciplines — ensuring all civil elements are properly integrated with the overall project design.
  • Review and verify soil investigation reports, geotechnical data, and site survey information — incorporating findings into civil foundation and earthwork designs.
  • Ensure all civil designs comply with relevant codes and standards — including Saudi Building Code, IEC standards, and client-specific engineering requirements.
  • Prepare material quantity take-offs and bill of quantities for civil works from design drawings.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical workshops, and coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and the project team.

✅ Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized and accredited university.
  • Relevant work experience in photovoltaic power plant and/or substation civil engineering — design experience is specifically required.
  • Solid familiarity with civil construction methods and requirements in photovoltaic fields and substations — understanding the specific civil scope that supports PV and power infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to independently produce civil engineering drawings — AutoCAD proficiency is essential. Experience with Civil 3D or other civil design software is a strong advantage.
  • Good understanding of civil engineering design principles — foundations, earthworks, drainage, roads, and structures relevant to power and energy projects.
  • Experience working with international engineering standards and EPC project environments is a strong advantage.
  • Good English language skills — ability to communicate professionally in English for design coordination and documentation.

🎁 Benefits

  • Competitive salary: SAR 10,000 – SAR 18,000/month based on experience and PV design expertise
