🏢 About CARB Group
CARB Group is a verified and established engineering and project services company — listed on SaudiaJobs.net since May 2024. Operating across Saudi Arabia’s most demanding petrochemical and oil & gas project environments, CARB Group is executing long-term projects in Jubail and Yanbu — two of the Kingdom’s most significant industrial locations. They are looking for a highly experienced Civil Engineer who brings real depth of GCC petrochemical project experience and specialized technical knowledge in structural and concrete quality inspection. Only candidates who fully match all stated requirements should apply.
📝 Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all aspects of civil engineering works on petrochemical and oil & gas process unit projects — ensuring construction quality, schedule compliance, and technical specification adherence throughout.
- Conduct thorough site execution inspections and quality audits — monitoring construction activities, checking workmanship, and verifying compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Audit and inspect dynamic concrete foundations for pumps — verifying design compliance, concrete quality, embedment of anchor bolts, and surface finish standards for rotating equipment foundations.
- Inspect and audit static heavy equipment foundations — vessels and columns — verifying concrete placement, curing, dimensional accuracy, and structural adequacy for tall vessel and column foundations.
- Inspect high-vibration elevated steel framing for fin-fan coolers — verifying structural steel fabrication, erection quality, connection integrity, and vibration isolation measures for air-cooled heat exchanger structures.
- Apply and enforce concrete and structural steel quality standards — ACI, AISC, SABIC, Saudi Aramco, or equivalent international and client-specific standards for petrochemical project civil works.
- Maintain comprehensive civil quality records, inspection reports, and non-conformance documentation — supporting project quality management systems and audit requirements.
- Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and process engineering disciplines to ensure civil works are correctly integrated with overall project design and equipment requirements.
✅ Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (B.Sc. or B.Eng.) or Structural Engineering from an accredited university — mandatory educational qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of solid civil engineering experience strictly within the Gulf GCC region — non-GCC experience does not qualify. The employer has been explicit that GCC regional experience is non-negotiable.
- Definitive background in petrochemical or oil & gas process units — civil engineering experience in buildings, roads, or general construction is not sufficient for this specialized role.
- Deep technical knowledge of construction quality metrics, site execution inspections, and concrete and structural steel quality standards — ability to independently identify and document quality deficiencies.
- Proven direct experience auditing dynamic concrete foundations for pumps, static heavy equipment foundations (vessels/columns), and high-vibration elevated steel framing for fin-fan coolers — all three areas are specifically required.
🎁 Benefits
- Highly competitive salary: SAR 12,000 – SAR 20,000/month based on GCC experience and technical depth
- Long-term project engagement — stable and sustained employment in Jubail and Yanbu
- Work with CARB Group on prestigious petrochemical and oil & gas projects
- Career growth in Saudi Arabia’s world-class industrial engineering sector
- Direct hiring — no agency fees or middlemen involved
❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Why is GCC experience so specifically required?
Petrochemical and oil & gas civil engineering in the Gulf operates under a unique combination of standards — Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES), SABIC guidelines, IEC, ACI, AISC, and client-specific specifications that are distinct from international practice elsewhere. GCC-based engineers understand these specific requirements, site execution environments, and quality management systems — making GCC experience a genuine and critical technical requirement, not just a preference.
What is a “dynamic concrete foundation for pumps”?
Dynamic concrete foundations are specially designed reinforced concrete structures that support rotating equipment — primarily pumps and compressors. Unlike static foundations, they must account for vibration, dynamic loads, and resonance — requiring careful design compliance during construction. Inspection of these foundations demands specific knowledge of anchor bolt installation, concrete mix design, and vibration isolation requirements.
What are “fin-fan coolers” and why are their structures significant?
Fin-fan coolers (air-cooled heat exchangers) are elevated structures used extensively in petrochemical and refinery projects for process cooling. Their elevated steel framing must accommodate both static equipment weight and significant dynamic vibration from fan motor operation — making structural quality inspection a technically specialized and critical activity.
What is the salary for this role?
Based on market rates for Civil Engineers with 5+ years of GCC petrochemical project experience in Jubail and Yanbu, the expected range is SAR 12,000 – SAR 20,000 per month. Candidates with extensive SABIC and Aramco project track records and specialized inspection qualifications can negotiate toward the higher end.
How do I apply?
Send your CV via WhatsApp to +966 559 977 451 or email info@carbgroup.com. Apply only if your skills, GCC experience, and petrochemical background fully match all stated requirements. Highlight your specific experience with pump foundations, vessel foundations, and fin-fan cooler structures.
👉 How to Apply
