  • Repair and overhaul engines, fuel systems, cooling systems, exhaust systems, and transmission systems across the fleet.
  • Replace oils, filters, belts, hoses, and damaged spare parts — maintaining accurate parts usage records for each vehicle.
  • Inspect and repair diesel pumps and injectors — ensuring correct fuel delivery and engine performance are maintained.
  • Handle gearbox, differential, and clutch repairs as required on trucks and heavy transport vehicles.
  • Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify technical issues and verify repairs before vehicle sign-off.
  • Test vehicles after maintenance — confirming safe operation and roadworthiness before returning them to the fleet.
  • Prepare accurate maintenance and repair reports for the Maintenance Supervisor — documenting all work completed, parts used, and pending items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop, tools, and work area — upholding housekeeping and safety standards at all times.
  • Comply fully with all occupational health and safety procedures relevant to workshop and heavy vehicle maintenance operations.
  • Immediately report major or recurring faults to the Maintenance Supervisor for timely escalation and resolution.
  • Coordinate with the operations department regarding vehicle readiness — ensuring trucks are available and serviceable for scheduled operational requirements.

✅ Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or technical certificate in Automotive Mechanics, Diesel Mechanics, or a closely related technical field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in diesel engine maintenance — trucks and heavy vehicles experience is strongly preferred.
