- Prepare material lists and calculate material weights from drawings — supporting procurement and production planning with accurate quantity takeoffs.
- Develop and execute production and fabrication plans for large-scale projects — scheduling work sequences, resource allocation, and material flow to ensure efficient and timely production.
- Operate and maintain CNC and laser cutting machines — programming, setting up, and running precision cutting equipment for complex steel profiles and components.
- Apply multiple welding techniques — including Arc (SMAW), MIG (GMAW), and TIG (GTAW) welding — selecting the correct process for each application based on material type and specification.
- Handle and manage welding gases safely — including Argon, CO2, mixed gases, and Acetylene — following all safety protocols and storage requirements.
- Inspect and verify the quality of fabricated components — ensuring dimensional accuracy, weld quality, and surface finish meet the required standards before handover.
- Maintain the fabrication workshop in a safe, clean, and organized condition — following all HSE and workshop safety procedures at all times.
✅ Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of proven experience in steel fabrication — this is a senior-level role requiring extensive hands-on expertise. Candidates with fewer than 10 years of experience should not apply.
- Demonstrated experience working across different types of welding — specifically Arc (SMAW), MIG (GMAW), and TIG (GTAW) welding processes are all required.
- Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings accurately — including preparation of material lists and weight calculations directly from technical drawings.
- Proven ability to prepare production and fabrication plans for large-scale jobs — planning experience at a senior or lead fabricator level is essential.
